French invoices

No that's not a euphemism...

Whilst spending a bit too long perusing old shop ephemera on Etsy I came across a stash of beautifully designed invoices. Note the care and attention taken with what is often anticipated with dread by most people. We're all familiar with feeling a sharp intake of breath or exhaling in relief at seeing the final figure. And naturally, our eyes are drawn to that part of the bill - from a design perspective, this feature can be bold and upfront or discreet and well-considered. All signifiers identify the personality of the sender. This part of administration is often close to an exchange between vendor and customer that is slightly overlooked today. I wonder whether wouldn't it be better to send invoices that are a pleasure to receive.
